"We recognize that all peoples of the world have the right to live in peace, free from fear and want."
「われらは、全世界の国民が、ひとしく恐怖と欠乏から免れ、平和のうちに生存する権利を有することを確認する。」

　日本国憲法前文の一節です。日本国憲法には生まれたときから英語版が存在していました。日本語だとかたい表現も英語だとわかりやすい、ということもあるので英語で読んでみるのもおもしろいですよ。
