　Happy New Year!　気持ちも新たに今年も楽しく英語を学んでいきましょう。

　今年の干支は戌ですが、干支を英語で言うとthe twelve animal signs of the Oriental zodiacとなります。今年は11番目のDogなのでDとOとGで始まる単語で今年のkey wordsとなるものはないか考えてみました。
まずDは"Diligence"（勤勉）これで決まりです。18世紀を代表するアメリカの科学者、政治家、そして文筆家でもあったBenjamin Franklinいわく、"Diligence is the mother of good luck." （勤勉は幸運の母である）、まさにその通りです。 Oは"Overcome"（克服）と"Objective"（目標）と二つ選びました。 Fear（恐れ）や problem（困難）を克服しようとする勇気と、目標に向かって進む意志を持つことは大切だと思います。そしてGは"Gratitude"（感謝）です。感謝の気持ちを忘れずに世のため人のためになることをする、口先だけでなく実行したいと思います。
