How to use 'Repeating Motif Saver'

Ver.1.2.1

7.3 Repeating motif

You can specify the display option, for example rule to lay out master motif, the size of master motif, the line width, and so on.

repeatingMotif

Symmetry Pattern

Specify how to lay out master motif. You can select 17 symmetry pattern. Explanation of symmetry pattern in this site is Japanese only. Please read wikipedia.

The checked pattern is used in a random manner.

Master width and height

Specify the range of width and height of master motif. Use larger size for P3M1 and P6.

Too small value requires long long time.

Line width

Specify line width. Zero means minimum line width.

Opacity

One means opaque, and zero means transparent. Specify the range as you like.

Magnification Ratio of width and height

'Master width and height' specifies the basic size of master motif. The actual size of master motif is determined using magnification ratio in each layer.

Line join style

Miter option allows spikes that occur when you join two line segments at a sharp angle.

Round option rounds line segment connection. Each master motif stays close to other master motif. I recommend this option.

Bevel option allows line segment connection beveled. Gap exists between master motifs.

Winding rule

Winding rule is how to determine inner area and outer area to fill a path. See the explanation of 'Repeating Motif Generator'.

Draw line and fill master motif

Select No if you want to draw no line. Zero line width means minimum line width. No line and no fill means nothing in the image, so master motif is filled when no line option is selected.

More opaque in lower layer

Select as you like.

Set line width to zero when draw line is No

Check this option to avoid a gap between master motifs.

Explanation is over. I recommend you to read the explanation of 'Repeating Motif Generator'
