7. Document windowDouble click the 'Repeating Motif Viewer' icon, and you will see a file open dialog. Select 'Repeating Motif Generator Document'. If you install 'Repeating Motif Saver' version 1.1 or later, and check 'Save generated repeating motifs to file' in the option window, some documents will exist in ~/Library/Repeating Motif Saver/. When you select document file and open it, document window will open. If document contains many complex repeating motifs, it takes a long time to open it. Document window contains only one repeating motif list. Repeating motifs in the file are shown in the list. The selected repeating motif's graphic is shown in the image panel, and you can cut or copy the selected repeating motif using edit menu. Click the repeating motif you want to select to change selection. You are also able to use up arrow key or down arrow key to change selection.
8. Image panelThe application always shows 'image panel' when application is active. The image panel shows repeating motif image or fragment image that is an element of the repeating motif. You can select it using segmented control on the top of the window content. Click 'Repeating motif image' in the segmented control, then you will see an image panel like a figure below. You can specify the size of repeating motif image using text field below the segmented control. You can input from 10 to 3000.
Click 'Export image...' button to save a repeating motif image as a PNG format file. You can exoprt image or fragment image not only png format but also tiff, jpeg, bmp, pdf and eps format with version 1.1 or later.(tiff, jpeg, bmp,png:bitmap data, pdf,eps:vector data) Select format with radio button in accessary view in the save panel. You can also select compression option in tiff format, quality option in jpeg format, and interlace option in png format.
Click 'Fragment image' in the segmented control, then you will see an image panel like a figure below. You can not specify the size of fragment image because that depends on parameters of repeating motif. Click 'Export image...' button to save a fragment image as a PNG format file. (You can select file format. See an explanation above) You can use this image as a desktop picture with Tile option, then seamless picture appears on your desktop. In the case where undesirable seam rarely appear on your desktop, you should export image with your desktop size in the 'Repeating motif image' tab.
